5pm Sinful City Tour CANCELED DUE TO WEATHER CONDITIONS

  • Amsterdam Free Walking Tour - Sinful City Tour Dam Amsterdam, NH, 1012 Netherlands (map)
Red light district at night

ABOUT THE TOUR

Are you curious about the famous Red Light District, but would you like a guide to show you around? Or would you like to know how the liberal Dutch drug policies came about and how effective they are? Or do you want to see the best bits of this historic part of town?

Our free walking tour is a safe and fun way to discover the Red Light District. See some of the medieval and Golden Age architecture. And of course the (in)famous windows. We will show you both red and blue ones - and tell you the difference. We will walk past 'coffee' and 'smart' shops and tell you what shops sell what - and how come they can sell it in a shop.

On this tour you will learn how the Dutch authorities go about minimizing drug abuse. What is legal and what isn't? We will tell you what solutions the authorities have come up with to protect the prostitutes against violence and exploitation. We walk you through the history of this area as well as tell you about the current developments.

On this tour you can ask your tour guide anything. We work with local Dutch tour guides who will tell you personal stories.
